DIY Holiday Decorations made with Cricut
Ho-Ho-Ho!!! Happy Holidays Everyone!
Sometimes I feel excited for the upcoming holiday season and at times it also makes me sad.
Hopefully i’m not the only one! This year is definitely a challenging one not just here in the US but the whole world is dealing with a pandemic.
We can just keep praying and stay hopeful.
I, myself will do everything I can to keep the Christmas spirit in our house! My goal is to deck out the whole house for Christmas! It is my favorite holiday and my kiddos too!
So we will be quite busy in the next couple of days - just decorating and making memories! I am grateful for
for making decorating this year stress free.
We as a family are being careful and choosing not to go outside other than getting and doing the essentials. So this is where my cutting machine comes in handy.
I will be creating lots of DIY decors and handmade presents as well!
So if you need some ideas and some inspiration. I am sharing some projects in my newest YouTube video. I hope it’ll inspire to create some MAGIC this Holiday Season!
You can watch the video here:
Also, last night I was playing with my planner and my Cricut and created this pretty A5 Size Star Dashboard.
I want to share them with all of you - hopefully you’ll love it and create something fun too!
Create your own dashboard for your Personal Filofax
Hello loves, Lhey here and I would like to share some cool products with you today. Do you own a Personal or A5 Ring Bound Planner? And do you like making your own dashboards or inserts? I’d like to share with you this set from Prima Marketing with Dies that you can use to create your own dashboards.
To use this, you will need a Die Cutting Machine. I have a Sizzix Big Shot that I love. It is a manual machine so there’s a little workout involve, Lol!
Find a Cardstock Pattern Paper that you love. I am using this beautiful piece from Paperhouse Productions from their Marbelous Collection. (Save 15% off your entire order. Use code: PAPER15) I choose slightly thicker Patterned Paper so that I do not have to mess with laminating my dashboard. Position the die to your paper accordingly. I like to use washi to hold the die in place.
The Sizzix Big Shot comes with a great manual. But it’s seriously so easy. Think of it as a sandwich. Your project is the meat of your sandwich (are you getting hungry yet?) Place your project in between the two plates. Hold them together tightly and position it in your Machine.
Sometimes it needs a little “PUSH” just to make sure that the whole thing is inside and ready for cutting. Hold the lever and start cranking. It’s like riding a bike - start cranking upward motion. And guess what? After all that hard work? You have a pretty Dashboard. Yay!!!!
I hope you enjoy this simple tutorial. If you buy these materials, please let me know what you think. Or if you already have it and using it. How are you loving it? Thanks for stopping by today! Until next time!
Love,
